Silicone 84 - Grease M.R.

Production information

LITHIUM GREASE (LVG): Silicone grease is compounded from lithium soap and synthetic oil. It is white in appearance, smooth in texture and is free from mineral lubricating oils.
Operating range of this grease is -100° to 350°F at DN value of 1,50,000. Performance life varies from 500 Hrs at higher temperature to 2000 Hrs. at 1800 – 200F. Increase in torque during low temperature performance is very little compared to room temperature.

Ball bearing in rotating airport beacons, heater fans, electric clocks and watt-hour meters. And recording meters are principal applications of this grease. This grease also used to lubricant anti-friction bearing in oven-fans, timer motors, textile slashes and dryers, drier motors, induction draft units, plastic gears and cones in small appliances, ball and socket disconnect switches, swivel-joints. In all of these applications, the grease ensures long life and trouble free service with a minimum of maintenance and re-lubrication.

Economics:

Although LVG is costlier than conventional grease, its initial cost is more than offset by a longer life and prevention of bearing failure in high temperature grease lubrication.

Specification

M.R.S.I. SILICONE LVG GREASE Is Silicone Grease Designed For Use In Ball Bearings Operating Under Light To Moderate Loads And For Lubricating Plastics Parts. It Is Made From A Stable Silicone Oil Thickened With A Lithium Soap, And Is Serviceable At Temperatures From – 40º To 400º F. M.R.S.I. SILICONE LVG GREASE Is And Extremely Stable And Inert Silicone Lubricant Available In Light And Medium Consistencies. Its Shows Little Change In Consistency Throughout Its Entire Operating Range. It Is Highly Resistant To Oxidations, Moisture And Corrosive Atmosphere And Equally Resistant To Breakdown Due To Shear. It Does Not Attack Plastics.

Application

The Most Common Use Of M.R.S.I. SILICONE LVG GREASE To Lubricate Ball Bearings And Roller Bearing, Use In Kiln Preheater Fans, Oven Fans, Radiator Cooling Fans, Textile Slashers And Driers, Conveyor Systems And Timer Motor Bearings. M.R.S.I. SILICONE LVG GREASE Is Also Used As The Lubricating Medium In Cartridge Type Sealed Bearing. Sealed Bearings Prelubricated With M.R.S.I. SILICONE LVG GREASE Give Permanent Lubrications For Motors In Such Units As Refrigerators, Washing Machines, Electric Razors And Oil Burners. In High Temperature Ball Bearing It Has Eight To Ten Times The Service Life Of Organic Greases. M.R.S.I. SIICONE LVG GREASE Is Used To Lubricate Plastic Gears, Bearing And Cams In Wide Range Of Equipment.
